METARspk is an aviation iPhone app which will “speak” the current METAR at any reporting station that has METAR capabilities. A choice of male or female voice can be selected. This allows for “hands-free” checking of the weather at a reporting station. Up to four stations can be “preset”.

The METAR is obtained from: http://adds.aviationweather.gov/metars/index.php

This may not be the current METAR at a reporting station as a more recent observation may sometimes be obtained by telephone.
